 President JC Burcham was drumming up excitement on July 8th, as she laid out her vision for the coming Rotary year. JC's top three goals for her year as president:
- Grow the club by 10 members (net)
- Host great programs/speakers
- Have FUN!!
"Growing our club by 10 members is ambitious. But I know we can do it! We have a great club, and with everyone's help, I know we can get there," she said. Having a little fun with a play on words, JC wants to "beat that drum" to encourage members to bring guests. By the end of this Rotary year (June 30, 2017), we want to have 52 members in our club! To get there, we'll host excellent programs, serve our community in a meaningful way (so that others want to join us) and enjoy Rotary fellowship.

On July 15, District Governor Chris Ford shared some interesting facts about declining membership in District 5710. Out of the 22 districts in our zone, our district is in last place in terms of growth. DG Chris wants to change that! To do our part, our club needs to grow by at least 7 members. This is directly in line with President JC's goal of growing by 10 members! Please invite guests and share our club with other contacts you have.
