Beneath the deadpan back-and-forth of a seemingly typical city council board meeting lies the whiff of something distinctly sinister in Tracy Letts's new play The Minutes. Known for his keen ability to illustrate the faults and cracks under humanity's surface, Letts delivers an acutely thrilling new work that pulls you in with laughter before grabbing you by the throat.

What is your favorite sports team and why?
I am a Chiefs season ticket holder but primarily grew up in central Illinois so am a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan. My college team has always been the University of Illinois, made even more special this year as our Parks Director’s son is a starting guard for the Fighting Illini and future lottery pick in the NBA – Keaton Wagler
What is your favorite vacation destination, and why?
Anywhere it is warm and has a golf course. Been all over, but Charleston and Hilton Head, South Carolina, stand out as meeting the previous criteria and also providing amazing culinary choices
What is your ideal sandwich?
Right now, it is the #13 (Italian Sub) at Jersey Mike’s. (Have to have it full “Mike’s Way” with added banana peppers and on the Rosemary Parmesan bread)
If you are at a trivia night, what category would you know most about?
My sisters claim that I am the “King of Useless Information” if the category is late 70’s and 80’s pop culture
